Block by prefix

Block whole country prefixes or wildcard patterns like +12 345*, something ordinary call filters simply can't do.

Privacy by design

No data collection and no phone numbers gathered. With nothing collected, there is nothing to leak, sell or lose.

Contacts and groups

Block specific contacts or whole groups. Contacts are optional and resolved locally: they never leave your phone.

Anonymous and unknown

Independently block calls with no caller ID, so hidden and withheld numbers don't get through.

Transparent activity log

See every blocked call and the exact rule that caused it. Predictable behaviour, no surprises.

Your rules, not an algorithm

You decide what to block, not a shared list or an opaque algorithm. It works offline: no connection needed to block.

How it works

From install to a quieter phone in a couple of minutes.

1

Set it as call screener

Grant the call screening role so the app can decide on incoming calls. No other invasive permissions required.

2

Set your rules

Add the prefixes, wildcards, countries, contacts or groups you want to block. A live preview shows the effect before you save.

3

It blocks automatically

Unwanted calls are stopped on the spot. Open the activity log any time to see what was blocked and why.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about PrefixBlocker.

What is PrefixBlocker?

PrefixBlocker is a privacy-first Android app that blocks unwanted and spam calls by country prefix, wildcard patterns, contacts and groups. Everything runs on your phone: no account, no cloud and no shared spam database.

Do you collect my phone number or my contacts?

No. PrefixBlocker does not collect or upload your number, your contacts or your call history. There is no server involved. Contacts are optional and, when used, are matched locally on the device only.

What does 'blocking by prefix' mean?

You can block whole ranges of numbers by how they start, for example an entire country code or a pattern like +12 345*. Ordinary call filters can only block single numbers, so prefix blocking is the main reason PrefixBlocker exists.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Blocking works completely offline. Since there is no server, PrefixBlocker can't lose data it never had.

Is it free?

You can try it for free up to the first blocked calls. After that a single low-cost, one-time unlock removes the limit. There is no subscription.

Which platforms are supported?

PrefixBlocker is an Android app (Android 10 and later). There is no iOS version and none is planned for now.

Will I get false positives from a shared spam list?

No. PrefixBlocker doesn't use a shared spam database decided by others. You are always in control of the rules, and every block is shown together with the rule that triggered it.
